Strata was designed to be your escape from the city while providing ample access to venture out and explore. Based on the premise that people want—and need—a connection to nature. Vibrant colors and earthy textures bring the outside in, while offering a range of outdoor activities within our community. With a deep focus on sustainability and wellness, Strata offers a healthy environment—not only for you, but for the planet.

Our “extras” don’t stop with spaces throughout the building. Our residents enjoy complimentary and refillable non-toxic cleaning supplies, a full calendar of curated community events, an expanded recycling program, a seasonal community herb garden, secure bike storage, and so much more.

On-Demand Yoga

Strata residents receive exclusive access to 400+ on-demand yoga classes from instructor Peter Walters. Classes are between 30-90 minutes in length, and range from restorative, slow flow, to active vinyasa flow, and everything in between.

To sign up, visit peterwaltersyoga.com/greencitiesyoga and sign in using the email attached to your lease. Follow the instructions to reset your password, and enjoy!

Expanded Recycling Program
Step aside paper and plastic, at Strata residents can enjoy an expanded recycling program including options to recycle paper, glass, plastic, aluminum, cardboard, compost, and e-waste including batteries, light bulbs, and other electronics.

Community Programming
At Strata, having fun and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Strata makes sure to use recyclable and biodegradable materials at each of our thoughtfully curated events.

Secure Bike Storage
Strata offers secure storage to keep your bike safe and your emissions low.

Green Cleaning Policy
Strata offers free green cleaning supplies to all residents. These products limit exposure to chemicals and dirt that might be hazardous to human or environmental health. All products used are non-toxic yet meet stringent viral safety requirements.

Purchasing and Waste Policy
Strata sets targets to reduce the environmental impact from materials we purchase, use, and dispose of during operations. These are managed and tracked in three main areas

Site Management
We encourage environmentally sensitive practices around snow removal, maintenance equipment, organic waste management, fertilizer usage, and irrigation management.

Pest Management
Minimizes the impact of site management practices on the local ecosystem.

Facility Maintenance and Renovation
Strata works to reduce the environmental impacts associated with the materials purchased, installed, and disposed of during maintenance and renovation projects.


Club Room Reservations
Our Indoor Resident Lounge is available to our tenants to reserve for private events. Our Indoor Resident Lounge is available for reservations daily and can be reserved between 10:00am - 10:00pm. Reservations are available for a maximum of 4-hour duration, including set up and clean up. Our Club Room Reservation Agreement must be completed, in addition to providing a $250 reservation fee, plus a $250 refundable deposit. Please note that reservation must be made 7-days in advance, and all requests must be approved through our leasing office.

Checking out game equipment
For your enjoyment, we have several gaming options available such as Shuffleboard, Cornhole, Billiards, Ping Pong and Foosball. Please stop by our leasing office to check out the desired gaming equipment and return to the leasing office after use.

Using the herb garden
Here at Strata we offer our residents the convenience of having fresh herbs right in their backyard. Located next to our outdoor BBQ Grills, you will find fresh herb options such as Basil, Rosemary, Thyme, Cilantro and more!

Guest Access
Strata uses an electronic directory system to help guests contact you easily. The system is programmed to call the phone number provided on your application. Simply press “9” to allow your guests, food, or grocery delivery to enter the lobby. If you wish to change the assigned phone number, please contact theour leasing office.

Mail + Delivery and Packages
Our mail room is located in the lobby. Use the small mail key provided at move-in to check your mailbox. If you will be gone for an extended period of time, please complete a hold request through the Post Office.

Packages will be delivered to the Amazon HUB lockers, mailroom, or package room. For Amazon Locker pick up, you will need your 6-digit code emailed to you by Amazon. For package room pick up, please utilize your key fob to access your package. If you are unable to pick up your package in a timely manner, please contact the office.

Garbage +and Recycling
Garbage and Recycling are located at the exterior of the building, on the back side. There is a compactor for garbage. To use, open the door and place your items inside, then close the door. To the right of the compactor is a control panel. Press the key in to initial the compactor. If the compactor does not begin to operate, please contact the office.

Recycling options include plastics, paper, cardboard, cans and glass. Please be sure to break down all cardboard before placing it into the recycling bin.

For bulk items such as couches, tables and mattresses, please contact our leasing office to schedule a bulk pick up.

Green Cleaning
Strata uses non-toxic cleaning supplies for building-wide cleaning. We also provide you with green cleaning supplies upon move-in. Please visit the office to redeem free refills.

We also encourage you to use laundry and dishwasher detergent that is eco-friendly; and please only use laundry detergent with the “HE” symbol to avoid over-sudsing—our high efficiency washers require less detergent than most.

Maintenance requests
Maintenance assistance is easy through our resident portal, Active Building, which you can access from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Except in emergencies, staff will address maintenance requests in the order they are received. In the event of an emergency (flood, gas leak, loss of power, or water) we ask that you call in your requests to 781-338-9000 so they can be addressed immediately.

Pets
Strata is a pet-friendly community. When times get muddy, there is a dog washing station located on the 1st floor adjacent to our outdoor resident lounge. As a reminder, please be considerate of others and make sure to clean up after your pet and always use a leash outside of your apartment.

Bike Storage and Maintenance
Our Bike room is located on the 1st floor, nearest the Broadway Entrance. If you need assistance locating the Bike room, please contact our office and we would be happy to show you where to store your bike(s).

Please register your bike(s) with the office and remember to lock your bike for extra security.

Public Transit +& Car Share
Located to the left of the entrance, is a MBTA Bus Stop (Bus Line 411/430) that will bring you to and from Malden Center Station where you have access to both the Orange and Purple Train Line.

Car Parking +& EV Charging
One complimentary spot included in your lease is located in our unassigned parking lot. You will receive a resident parking pass at move-in to place on your front windshield. Please ensure that your sticker is visible at all times.

Should you have additional vehicles, please contact the office to review available parking options. In addition to the parking included in your lease, we offer additional uncovered assigned parking, covered assigned parking, and garage storage.

A select number of electric car-charging options are located at the main building entrance way. Please contact the office for more information.


Urban community gardens are a critical component in sustainable food production. Not only does growing food locally reduce our carbon footprint, but it is a great way to improve our health through high quality organic food. The Green Cities Company and Green City Growers have teamed up to provide you with a community garden that produces healthy food for you to eat, but also programming around garden management including topics such as how to grow vegetable and care for pollinator plants, how to fertilize and take care of the soil, how to manage pests and diseases, and when and how to harvest.

The Produce:

Our organic produce changes throughout the season. Our goal is to provide you with a mix of produce like lettuces, spinach, radishes, peppers, Kale, carrots, beets, swish chard, tomatoes, a mixture of herbs like basil, cilantro, and rosemary. As the produce gets ready to pick, our management team will notify residents via the Resident Portal.

How to participate:

Our typical growing season is April through October. The garden program with Green City Growers will take place weekly, residents are welcome to attend and volunteer. Please ask our team for details if you are interested in participating.

Picking:

Please follow these simple rules when picking herbs and veggies:

- Please wait until plants are ripe to pick, this ensures they have time to grow large enough for the whole community to enjoy.

- Each plant should be labeled. If you can’t find a label, please ask one of our team members for assistance.

- Please pick plants with garden shears, stop by the office if you’d like to borrow a pair!
